学术评价 Committee

The 学术评价 Committee (AAC) is a collegial body responsible for establishing, 沟通, 回顾, and reporting on assessment processes in academic departments and identifying areas where professional development is needed. The committee is further responsible for measuring the institution's progress with portions of the MSCHE Accreditation Standards III, IV, 和V.

责任

The 学术评价 Committee's responsibilities are

To establish procedures, 需求, and standards for annual assessment reports and 5-year 项目评审 from academic departments.
To review academic assessment processes and policies and recommend changes to the Office of the 教务长 and the 教师 Senate.
To review and provide feedback on program assessment plans and annual goal reports.
To review and provide feedback on 5-year 项目评审.
To assess academic assessment practices and provide status reports to the 教务长 and 教师 Senate at the close of each traditional semester.
To identify professional development needs of the faculty with respect to assessment practices.
To serve as an advisory board to the Senior Associate 教务长.

权威

The AAC has the authority to require corrective action when necessary and may recommend to the 教务长 appropriate specific actions to be taken based on assessment documentation.

会员 shall consist of:

Three (3) faculty members from each school
The Senior Associate 教务长 (Chair)

教师 members of the committee are selected by the school deans. They serve 3-year terms with no term limits. All AAC members are voting members.

The committee's agendas, minutes, and other pertinent documents are stored in a shared Google drive. 评估报告, 项目评审, 认证报告, 分题目, and other records related to program assessments are stored in a shared drive marked "Academic Departments' Assessment."

The AAC communicates a summary of its findings on a semi-annual basis in a report to the 教师 Senate and 教务长. These reports are posted on the AAC website and accessible to faculty and staff.

Committee minutes and related materials will be kept for a full accreditation cycle up to ten years. Assessment documentation (including 项目评审, communications with programs, and reports) are permanent records.
